zlSe7eN_ has been a great member of EW since he joined, always helping people in need and is polite when doing so, he also works hard at building and as a result has some fantastic builds! He is always nice to be around and he is a great example of our community.
and the staff team here at Emerald World are always making precautions
to maintain a safe, bug free, and fair play environment for our members.
Unfortunately this sometimes results in restricting players from having
access to the community. A couple of members, bhdmanand TheImperialKiper, have
made repeated attempts in sidestepping the rules we've placed through
trolling, pvp abuse, spawn camping, accused item duping, joining with
inappropriately named alternate accounts through proxy servers, general
ass-hattery, and more. The many warnings we've given them have gone
unheeded and as a team the EW staff has voted to ban them permanently, although amends may ensue with TheImperialKiper.
has sparked a very cautious approach on our part and we ask you, the
community to do the same. We believe they are capable of jacking
IP's and accounts and very possibly much more. We ask that if you
receive a link to a website from anyone that you don't trust closely,
please do not accept it. They maintain many alternate accounts and may try to use them against the server. So again, please, be
cautious when accepting messages or links from anyone other than close
friends. Thanks -The Emerald World Staff Team
EDIT: TheImperialKiper's case is still being reviewed. We don't want to initiate any kind of attacks on these guys. Bhd has left on polite terms. Kiper may be allowed back in time. We'll keep the community informed, we just don't want to see any of our members, banned or not, suffer any injustice. Thanks.
Mmk so it's 3am for me, so I'm gonna try to keep this as short as possible, while still covering all the things! Should be interesting, right?
Old map has been hereby removed as of approximately 3am this morning. I'm tempted to say I'll miss it, but I've had it around for a year, and that's about 4 months too long for me personally. I know that a week was a short amount of time to transfer builds, but then again, that was sort of the point. It separates our active players from the inactive. However, because the time period was so short, I am not closed to the possibility of reloading it if several people request so within the comments.
I've been very busy working on plugins for the last couple weeks, as many plugins have finally started updating to the newest version of Bukkit/CB/Spigot. I'm gonna go ahead and include a list of things that are working again, have been updated, etc.
LWC has been updated. All new door types and fences gates are now lockable. On top of this, banners and Iron Trapdoors should be lockable as well.
MobArena is (sort of) working again, thanks to Morgan. Should be about 95% playable, however I don't recommend picking a class that involves horses.
Dynmap is working again, hopefully should stay that way.
WorldGuard/WorldEdit have been updated.
There have been some updates to staff vanish perms. Mainly just a few tiny things.
The WorldBorder plugin has been replaced in favor of the built in worldborder. Now you guys will see a physical border once you approach the edge of the map. The only downside is that you wont be able to see the bright red borderline in Dynmap.
I've updated Towny, and although I could be wrong, I don't think there is any new things with it, other than 1.8 support.
I've readded EssentialsChat so that we have chat color support. I really did miss it :P
I'm working on getting McMMO ready to go. Once I have the more technical stuffs done, all that needs doing is configuring the plugin, and I'm hoping that can be done soon. If it isn't done within 3 days, I'll start to consider other options for getting it configured.
As far as stuff on the physical server goes, I finally got some things cleared out. You really wouldn't believe how much old stuff accumulates in 2.5 years...
First off, hats off to the following for being amazing:
Idoldi - $122
vvanted11 - $120
B0SS - $50
Morgan_Ayodele - $50
Drewflav - $30
Christaky - $20
Kegan797 - $10
Now, because of the above, we've reached our goal of $400 dollars. Stop to consider that for a moment: In 12 days, you guys raised four hundred and two dollars. Because of you, our paypal balance is back to above $1600. As a side note, I raised our monthly goal to $500. Each time we meet it, I'll add a hundred, and see where we are by the end of the month. Finally, we will be doing our best to advertise in January. Morgan is in charge of this, so it's probably best to ask him questions about that, provided you have any.
Again, thanks guys, and especially all our donators. You are keeping the server going, and all of you are making it an amazing place to play Minecraft.
You have one week to transfer any builds and chests that you would like over to the new main map. Rather than limit you by amount of items or builds we decided time would be a better option. Therefore, the old map closes off for good this upcoming Saturday. Anything not moved by this time will be permanently removed.
Along with this will be coming a new Nether map. Once I get portals set up, the Nether portal will lead to the new map, however there will be a warp to the old map as well.
We will not be getting a new End map.
I hope you guys enjoy this new map. It's been needed for a while :)
I've changed the forums up a bit. If you'll notice, the FTB section is now mostly gone. I've incorporated them into the main forums. Applications have been split apart, and now only hold rank applications for both servers. Ban Appeals have there own section, and you now specify which server you were banned on in the format.
Forums should load marginally faster now as well as be more compatible with mobile. I removed the need for using Flash player for the banner by loading the site banner in HTML instead of flash. Should be that much quicker to load as the image itself isn't that big.
Although a small change, I've changed the forum size to fixed width so that it'll show the same way for everyone. Helps for consistency.
We're in the process of adding some more interesting plugins as well as more mob arenas. Stay tuned for that :D
We've upgraded to 1.8 spigot, but some plugins need an update before they will work again (Echopets, SparkTrails, etc). Some currently work for the most part, but certain parts don't work (Essentials).
The 1.8 map will be released by this weekend. The spawn will be different, and hopefully an interesting build.

I am pleased to announce that we have had some very generous donators within the last month. In fact we have raised almost 200 dollars. This is a very significant amount, and I would like to thank all our donators for giving up that soda or bag of chips to give to us. It means a lot to all of us.
However, there is more, and I think it is high past time to discuss our finances. Currently we pay around $240 per month. The machine that the Minecraft server, FTB server, and Teamspeak run off of costs $210 per month, and although we pay for the forums once every 90 days, I add in about $30 monthly to account for it.
Currently we have $1,345.74 in our paypal account. And with the amount we've taken in since our last payment, 'm happy to say we should be in the black for this month, meaning we've profited a little. We gained almost $200 in half a month, I think we'll easily push the $17 extra to get to $210. However, this is the first month in a long time in which we've done this. On top of this, I'd like to advertise in the month of January. It will bring us more players, and hopefully be decently affordable. My personal spending limit is $300, but to be able to pay that out, we need to raise at least another $100 by the end of December. I hate to ask for money, but it's a necessary evil.
Love you all, thanks in advance for all donations, thank you for all the past ones, and I'm gonna go keep working on things on the server. :)
